Frequently asked questions

What GEO is, what the free audit measures, and what happens after it. If your question is not here, ask us and we will answer it plainly.

GEO is the work of making a website readable, quotable and recommendable by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. Four things decide it: whether assistants can reach your site at all, whether they can read it without running JavaScript, whether your pages answer the question the customer actually asked, and whether the rest of your online presence agrees about who you are. It is also called AEO, Answer Engine Optimization. They are the same discipline.

SEO helps a page rank in a list of results. GEO helps a business become the answer an AI system gives instead of that list. They overlap (a site an assistant cannot crawl usually ranks badly too), but they are not the same work, and SEO alone no longer covers the moment a customer asks an assistant rather than a search box. SEO is 35% of our own audit and still earns traffic.

It is a free, automated read of your website that produces a Signal Score out of 100 across three pillars: whether AI assistants can access and understand you, your traditional search foundations, and how the site reads to a human. It checks crawler access, structured data, whether content arrives in the raw HTML, answer-first writing, an llms.txt file, sitemaps, headings, image alt coverage and more, then reports the specific fixes that would move the number most.

About a minute for most sites. It reads your homepage and up to sixty pages, so a large site takes longer than a small one. You get the score on screen and a full report by email.

No. The audit reads only what is already public, exactly as an AI crawler would. No logins, no plugins, nothing installed. Access is only needed later, if you decide you want the fixes implemented.

It is a measurement, not an opinion. The same checks run the same way on every site, so the number is comparable over time and against competitors. What matters most is the movement: the report names the specific gaps, and a re-audit after the fixes shows what changed and by how much.

Usually not. Most sites score in the sixties, because the things GEO measures were not on anyone's checklist until recently. llms.txt did not exist, entity schema was optional, and no one wrote for a machine reader. A low score is a list of things that were never asked of your site before, not evidence that anything is wrong with it.

Nothing automatic. The report is yours whether or not you work with us, and it names the fixes clearly enough for your own developer to make them. If you would rather we did it, the next step is a short call to agree scope in writing before any commitment.

Yes, and the report is written so you can. Some of it is genuinely quick: allowing AI crawlers in robots.txt, publishing an llms.txt, adding structured data that names your business. The slower parts are rewriting pages to answer questions directly and making content arrive without JavaScript, which is where most of the work usually is.

Yes. Everything runs in accounts you own (hosting, domain, analytics, tools), and every deliverable belongs to you once paid for. There are no contracts and no minimum terms, and if you stop, your site keeps working exactly as it is. Nothing we install is ever withheld or switched off.

The audit is free. Everything else is on the pricing page, with the exact number confirmed in writing after the audit and a short call, before any commitment.
